A Mudd Woman sculpture by Joyce Ann Mudd
Signed by the sculptor - a fat artist & activist

Note: This item can only be shipped within the United States or Canada.

Those who have been in fat liberation circles for a while have very likely heard of Joyce Mudd and her beautiful Mudd Women sculptures. Joyce discovered an incredible talent for sculpting in her 50s, having never dabbled in art before. She used her talent to create sculptures that expressed her journey to body love and fat liberation. She sold many sculptures at NAAFA conventions and local fat community events, often giving them to people who said her work spoke to them.

This sculpture was signed by Joyce in 2008 and she passed it onto a friend after her passing in 2024. Knowing that it is part of this auction to raise funds for NAAFA and work that Joyce very much believed in, would bring a smile to her face for sure.

The sculpture weighs about 3 pounds and is about 10 inches long and 5 inches high.

Fair Market Value = $300 (this is an estimate as Joyce’s sculptures are not currently available for sale)
